Miss Jamaica 2018 - Raina Martin

Hello everyone, my name is Raina Martin and I will be proudly representing Jamaica this years Miss Carnival pageant. I am twenty years old and I attend Macomb Community College. I plan on transferring back to Oakland University and finish my English major and Communication minor. With that degree I would love to work for a social media platform for either Twitter, Instagram, or YouTube. If not a social media headquarters, then I would love to work for a magazine using my writing and photography skills. I would also love to travel the world and learn about different cultures when I get into that position.

A few things that I love to do in my spare time is take pictures. I have been in love with photography since I was around six years old. I did not realize my true passion for photography until I was a junior in high school at Grosse Pointe North, where I took my first photo journalism class. I am in a Negro league Art Collective called Alt Nubian, where I among other creatives, boost each other’s content along with other creatives in Detroit. I enjoy singing in choir and acting as well. I have sung in choir for eight years and enjoy it very much. I have been in four musicals (Guys and Dolls, Beauty and the Beast, Catch Me If You Can, and The Secret Garden) and two plays that were produced by my friends. Volunteering with children has always been an extreme pleasure of mine. I was volunteering in my past church for four years and I have had two jobs that involved working with children.

Miss Guyana 2018 - ShaDay Cade

Hello everyone, my name is Sha’Day Cade and I am 18 years old. I am excited to be representing  Guyana in this year's  Pagent. My biggest accomplishment so far, was graduating from Salem High School (Canton) June 2017 with a full ride to Wayne State University. I finished my senior year of high school, as the Captain of the Step Team, where I developed my Leadership skills, gained many friendships, as we went on to win several championships. This will be my 2nd year on campus Wayne State University, and I am currently serving as a member of BSU (Black Student Union) where we are making a difference in young lives and the community. I am studying pre-med in hopes to move on to medical school and pursue my dreams of becoming a Pediatric Doctor. In my spare time, or what little time I have, I like to spend it with my friends exploring downtown Detroit and  hanging out with my family, who is always laughing, eating and traveling the world.

Miss Dominica 2018 - Casyana

Hello! My name is Casyana, I’m 17 years old, and I am a junior at Novi High School. I am excited to say that I’ll be representing Dominica in this year’s pageant! My biggest accomplishment is joining yearbook for the first time and being rewarded a MIPA award from Michigan State University for my dominant photo in the yearbook. Additionally, I was one of the 60 elected by the teacher staff to go to communication camp because they saw leadership potential in me. Another accomplishment was joining HOSA, which is a competitive medical club that deals with many medical/health professions. I passed regionals and made it to states. This year, I applied to be in Link Crew, which is helping and informing incoming freshman about high school life and I made it out of all the applicants! Moreover, I’ve been attending the French club for 3 years and next year I will apply to be a French club officer. I am also involved in BuildOn which is an organization that raises money and builds schools in third world countries. I am employed at Abercrombie kids and I have been in track for two years and gymnastics for three years. For my senior year, I would love to continue to not only build relationships with my friends, but my teachers as well. I have also applied to medical careers exploration and I will continue to take advanced placement classes. In my free time I like to watch YouTube and learn how to make my own natural hair products, bake, play with my dog, shop, travel, and hanging out with friends.
